What makes us stand apart?

Tool courses – not theory: Our courses put the emphasis on providing the trainee with practical tools and techniques that can be immediately be put to use on the job.

Third-party endorsement: Noble Inc. is an Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) under the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Its BA course-line has been approved by the IIBA, and qualifies the trainee for credits (CDUs) towards BABOK 2 CBAP™ Certification (Certified Business Analysis Professional). Noble Inc. has been granted the designation of IBM© Advanced Business Partner in recognition of its role in helping companies implement IT best practices that integrate well with IBM methodologies and tools (RUP, Rose, etc.).

Written by experts: Our director of course development has served as SME for the National IT Apprenticeship System (NITAS) BA initiative developed jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Labor and CompTIA, is a writer of the acclaimed books The Business Analyst's Handbook and UML for the IT Business Analyst and has served as a reviewer for the IIBA's Book of Knowledge (BABOK). Our writing team is composed of BAs with extensive experience both in the field and as educators.

No fluff: We started our line of courses out of a frustration with the amount of 'fluff' contained in corporate training. We understand how valuable your time is. Our courses have been pared down to contain only the actionable training you need to do your job.

Focus on the IT Business Analyst: We live and breathe Business Analysis. Everything we teach is focused on the perspective of the IT Business Analyst and what he or she needs to know in order to improve interviewing, requirements analysis, testing and documentation skills. You won't find digressions into technical areas that are outside the scope of the BA role.

'Real-time' learning: Most course providers organize their course content by topic. Noble Inc. courses are organized chronologically: the trainee walks through an IT project, learning what they need to know when they need to know it. The result is a much more effective training experience that can be readily applied on-the-job.

Group facilitation session: Our courses emphasize a team-based approach to development. Each trainee gains practical experience facilitating and interviewing.

Agile and iterative: Our courses advocate an Agile, Iterative approach to development, in keeping with industry best practices (MSF, RUP, PMBOK, etc.).

Job Aids: Comprehensive printed material including valuable job aids, examples, glossaries, tips as well as agendas and lists of questions for each type of interview session are included with course materials.

Diverse examples: In keeping with the practical nature of the program, the course content draws from direct experience working in a variety of sectors, including banking, accounting, call centers, education and NGOs.

UML 2.2 and BABOK 2 Standardization: We believe there is a need to standardize the way IT teams communicate. The UML standard has been incorporated into the methodologies of today's major players — including Microsoft and IBM — and underlies the most popular software development approaches today, including use cases and Object-Oriented Analysis. As well, our courses are aligned with the Business Analysis Body and Knowledge (BABOK) Release 2 and certified by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). To you, our use of a consistent standard means that if you send your employees to our courses, they will all learn to speak the same language, reducing the chance of miscommunication. And it means that your organization will be able to communicate effectively with the world's major external IT vendors and service providers. What about other standards? We introduce them as needed, for example, by showing the trainee how to convert UML diagrams to other formats — such as IDEF, used by the U.S. Defense Department and BPMN, used in process improvement projects.
